A little bit about me
I’m Zafar Peeran, a product designer based in Los Angeles.
I’m drawn to product design because it sits at the intersection of people, technology, and problem-solving. I like taking complex ideas and turning them into experiences that feel clear, useful, and easy to move through.
At iTrustCapital, I lead design across complex fintech flows as the sole product designer. A lot of my work involves simplifying dense financial, compliance, and product requirements into clean interfaces, thoughtful user flows, and scalable design patterns.
Beyond product design, I’m interested in the role branding plays in shaping how people experience a company. I think about identity, tone, visual systems, and storytelling as extensions of the user experience, not separate from it. Whether designing a product flow or building a brand world, my goal is the same: create work that feels intentional, functional, and easy to connect with.
Experience
Product Designer II • 2025 - Current
I'm the sole product designer at a fintech platform, working across web and mobile to design experiences for crypto, alternative assets, IRAs, trading, and account management. I've shipped products from 0 to 1 including SOL and ETH staking flows that now hold over $100M in staked assets across 9,000+ accounts, and a crypto deposit flow that contributed to $180M+ in deposits in its first year. My work focuses on the parts of complex flows most teams skip, designing through edge states, compliance constraints, and cross-flow dependencies in close partnership with engineering and product. I integrate AI-assisted workflows across research synthesis, copywriting, and rapid prototyping to move faster and spend more time on the harder design problems. I also contribute to product strategy, roadmap decisions, and the design system that keeps the platform scalable as it grows.

Create social media graphics and slide decks that strengthen brand communication and engagement. Ensure visual consistency, translate strategies into compelling visuals, and collaborate with teams to deliver polished, on-brand assets.
Lead Graphic Designer • 2024 - 2025
Lead the creative and design department, establishing standards and workflows to improve efficiency and consistency. Conduct user research to refine design strategies, increasing client engagement by 25%. Present design solutions in peer reviews and stakeholder meetings, effectively articulating rationale and gathering feedback.
